This was the best movie theater in the EastBay area, other then the second newer location (El Cerrito),which is nice but not nearly as cool as it's original Speakeasy Theater.

Everything about this place was perfect,I mean for my taste.
The building was old and historic, the films they played were great sometimes avant garde, mostly mainstream but in a hip-er sense playing movies late after release and focusing on art/foreign intellectual type flicks.
Cheap entry only $5 daily but they had specials on certain day's,like Wednesday's two for one deal.
Plus nothing bets getting vegan pizza with a pitcher of good Beer as you watch a great flick.
I'll miss this place dearly!
I'm desperately trying to start up a place just like the Parkway in Los Angeles, every major city should have one!
